Moscow-born, Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg is praised around the world as a highly sensitive, insightful and compelling performer. He is at home in a broad repertoire and in recent years has become increasingly recognised as a leading interpreter of Rachmaninov and Beethoven. He regularly performs in the world's most prestigious concert halls and has worked with major conductors and orchestras worldwide.
Giltburg likes to involve the public in projects that go beyond the concert hall. For instance, in honour of Beethoven's birthday in 2020, he made a recording of all 32 piano sonatas Beethovens and, during filming, vlogged about the whole process. On the occasion of the Beethoven Year 2027, he presents the complete cycle of Beethoven’s piano sonatas on stage. His blog Classical music for all is aimed at a non-specialist audience and includes content from Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine, Guardian, Times and Fono Forum.
